Skanska Technology are looking for an articulate and enthusiastic Senior Project Engineer to join our busy design team based in Bridgend, South Wales. This is a senior role, and the successful applicant will join the Leadership team for the Wales office.
* Be an active participant in the Bridgend Leadership Team and contribute towards managing the office in an efficient way.
Perform the role of Design Team leader for multi-disciplinary highways led design commissions using resources from other STL design teams typically in the structures and drainage disciplines.
Work with the Operations Manager to achieve growth plans for the highways team.
Manage design budget and be responsible for commercial fee monitoring and change management.
Actively seek out and act on new business opportunities to achieve growth in the team.
Liaise with internal/external project stakeholders as required to ensure a coordinated and optimised approach to design.
Be responsible for line management of the design team, including annual leave approval, time management, and development of technical skills in the team.
We’re Looking for:
* Experienced in the management of highways design in either a public or private sector design organisation.
In depth understanding of the requirements of other stakeholders who influence highways design activities.
In depth knowledge of the DMRB.
Strong knowledge of relevant design standards and regulations.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE or CIHT.
A BSc, BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering / Highway / Transportation or similar discipline accredited for CEng with the Engineering Council.
