Based at our office in High Wycombe, you will be a key part of the small specialist Pipeline Engineering team that provide has the technical expertise to undertake pipeline material selection, structural design of pipelines, thrust restraint, condition assessment of existing pipelines, rehabilitation, trenchless technology, and pipeline construction support, for a range of pipeline applications.

To be successful in this role you will have a Materials, Civils or Mechanical degree or similar, and be a member (or incorporated member) of a relevant Professional Institution. You will have significant experience across a good range of the catagories listed below:
An understanding of of BS EN 1295-1 National Annex A and BS 9295
An understanding of of CIRIA 128
Good knowledge of other pipelines procedures such as the TEPPFA design procedure for thermoplastics pipes
Experience of undertaking research projects with bodies such as UKWIR, WaterRF etc
Good pipeline condition assessment experience, including determinations of remaining asset life and its application on a network or catchment-wide basis
Knowledge of trenchless technology
Pipeline failure investigation
Experience of the design of sea outfalls
In addition you will have excellent technical proposal / report writing skills and will take an analytical approach to problem solving. You will be creative in your thinking in order to produce innovative solutions.
Much of what we do is team based requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
The work is both office and site based and the applicant must be prepared to work in difficult environments such as confined spaces on occasion.
