You’ll be joining the Trade Finance technology, architecture and strategy team who are moving away from manual, ops heavy monolithic architecture to a cloud compliant, Application Programming Interface (API) driven, component and re-usable technology stack. The initial components of this architecture are built from Trade Finance’s two key strategic programs – Risk Distribution and Risk/Exposure Management. The team is focused on developing the in-house Trade Finance Limit Management application and also consists of an additional pods in Dublin and the wider programme team is globally located.
Developing source code, including descriptions in line with detailed requirements, then verifying the developed source code by reviews in addition to measuring and analysing code for quality
Integrating software components including unit and integrated software testing according to the test plan
Ensuring that all code changes, end up in configuration
Providing Release Deployments on non-Production Management controlled environments
Providing Level 3 support for technical components and contributing to problem and root cause analysis
Collaborating with Functional Analysts and technical Specialists to complete work
Skills and Qualifications:
Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/work experience preferably in Computer Science or Software Engineering or an Information Technology related discipline
Significant prior experience with development technologies and working with Agile software methodologies
Ability to develop reusable and performant Java libraries aligned with good architectural and design patterns
Sound knowledge of Java 8, Spring, Rest APIs and Microservices
Experience with Test/Behavior Driven Development and Continuous Delivery approaches
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with product owners, business / functional analysts and business stakeholders
Experience with Relational (Oracle) or NoSql technologies
Knowledge of investment banking and trade finance domain and using Git or distributed source control systems
