Position Title Senior Interior Designer

Job Summary
AECOM is seeking a Creative Senior Interior Designer to work in its London-based Interiors team. The role will be to lead commercial office Interior Design projects. Reporting to Associate Director / Design Director and ultimately Head of Interiors.
Responsibilities:

Strong creative vision
*
Create and drive excellent content for clients with high level Director support
*
Take full responsibility for the development of the design process and deliverables, and liaise where appropriate with both internal team and external design team(s)
*
Manage and co-ordinate the internal design team for the project
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to convey complex ideas and messages in a simple and clear way
*
Seek out innovation and best practice across all areas of the role – bring new ideas and creative thinking to client work as well as across the internal AECOM Design team
*
Seek continuing professional development thorough knowledge of and compliance with AECOM procedures and standards
Minimum Requirements
*
Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities
*
Have an Industry recognised diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture & significant job running experience in interior design on large workplace/ commercial projects
*
Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
*
Able to integrate design requirements with architecture
*
Able to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project, minimum requires as noted above
*
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
*
Excellent time management and organisational skills
*
Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
*
Flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working and commitment to independent, lifelong learning
*
Responsible, self-assured, motivated and able to take responsibility
*
Willingness to listen and learn from all members of the team
*
Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team
*
Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*
Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure
*
Able to deal with the management of junior designers on the team
*
Proficient in Autocad and Sketch up
*
Proficient in Adobe Creative Package
