Our Local Roads team in Leeds is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with experience of highway and municipal engineering schemes.

The Roads team provides design and infrastructure delivery services, supervision and network modelling services on a wide range of projects for many local authority and contractor clients and also supports other AECOM sectors.

Projects we are currently working on include:

Armley Gyratory Improvements for Leeds city Council

*

A629 Phase 2 Halifax Town Centre for Calderdale Council

*

Tadcaster Road Improvements for York City Council

You will:

*

Take an active leading role in the preparation of designs and reports for highway and traffic engineering schemes, providing specialist technical contributions.

*

Undertake Health & Safety duties including ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for the project team members and fulfilling all CDM responsibilities including safety in design.

*

Support preparation of detailed client briefs and fee proposals and contribute to major bids whilst developing client relationships.

*

Act as an AECOM accredited Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager (training provided) including monitoring financial performance.

*

Ensure technical content and quality of output produced is in line with the project brief.

*

Keep up to date with current best practice, techniques and innovation.

*

Support Senior Management and manage team members.

Minimum Requirements

*

A successful track record in the delivery of multiple municipal engineering projects with excellent technical and communication skills.

*

Experience of team management including technical development and mentoring of staff in the performance of their duties.

*

Application and use of Sewers for Adoption, DMRB, Manual for Streets and the Traffic Signs Regulations and Traffic Signs Manuals,

*

Application of Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW)

*

Client relationship experience and the preparation of fee proposals.

Preferred Qualifications

*

Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant subject

*

Incorporated or Chartered Engineer, or working towards
