Senior Estimator/Estimator The Role: Here within the Anglian Water @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation
made up of our seven partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, MMB,
MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half
of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

We are heading into our latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7 and this will see
us deliver a £1.4bn programme of work over the next five years. Are you ready to join us as
we gear up to deliver the most exciting and innovative AMP we have ever seen.

With a variety of challenging and complex projects, it is essential we provide a proactive and
industry-leading end-to-end Commercial facility across the @one alliance. To play a central
role in achieving outperformance by challenging all aspects of construction costs, we are
looking for Senior Estimator and Estimator to join the Commercial team.

We are keen to hear from both experienced and less experienced candidates as we build
our team capability across AMP7.
Key Responsibilities: You’ll ensure handover of the pricing pack consistently meets appropriate quality and
standards and adheres to time requirements of the Delivery Milestones.
Establish yourself as a proactive and solutions-orientated professional across our business,
Your main work scopes will include pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs and both water and
water recycling treatment plants.
Provide CAPEX estimates appropriate to the stage of the project from high level comparative
estimates for optioneering to detailed bottoms up estimates for development of Target Costs
Become familiar, and subsequently, an expert, in our estimator systems to Identify best
practice and advise where efficiencies can be made.
Embrace and champion digital delivery and standardisation to develop cost models for those
items which are repeated from site to site
Proactively maintain the cost base by including latest quotations, framework rates etc
Work closely with the Cost Managers to ensure a smooth transition from Estimating into Cost

Person Specification: Engineering or QS degree or previous relevant estimating experience to add value to this role.

Estimating experience within the Construction or Utilities industries alongside exposure to

estimating software

Your overall motivation and willingness to learn and pursue a career in Estimating is more

important as you look to add value to our team.

With the current situation, we are understanding how remote working can add value to our

operations. Whilst we would expect some visibility and presence in our Peterborough offices,

we also appreciate and understand we can be more flexible in how we work so would welcome
