Support fluvial modelling projects across the UK and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.
As a Senior Fluvial Modeller in Peterborough, you will join an established team, that is a hub of engineering and fluvial modelling excellence, providing input and support across other offices. Working with other members of our team, youll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects for public and private sector clients., on fluvial, estuarine and integrated models. During your time with us, you will also have the opportunity to work preparing data and specifications for survey work and evaluating outputs from flow or asset surveys; Conducting model build and verification and developing and testing outline solutions to problems/needs associated with the performance of the drainage network (e.g. flooding, pollution). The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor degree in civil engineering / earth sciences and allied subjects, with strong mathematical and science basis
Proven ability in using FloodModeller, ISIS, TUFLOW
Proven ability in the UK water and fluvial industry
Proven ability in hydraulic model build and verification, and the use of models to test solutions in drainage networks.
Graduate member of an appropriate recognised institution, actively working towards chartership
Sound engineering and hydraulic aptitude and ability
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good communication skills and willing to work as part of a team
Knowledge of InfoWorks 2D and/or ICM desirable
Knowledge or desire to develop skills in river modelling or river engineering
