DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Geologist to join our Engineering Geology team in Glasgow, giving you the opportunity to co-create with our experts on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK. Working alongside our design and engineering teams, you'll be responsible for technical deliverables including engineering geological models, parameters and reports with the opportunity to further develop skills in geotechnical engineering, rock engineering and general project management responsibilities.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:

* Preparation of desk study reports, ground investigation reports and derivation of geotechnical parameters

* Development of engineering geological models

* Engineering geological mapping

* Supervision of ground investigation and geotechnical works in environments including railways, highways and underground

* Other visits to sites as required

* Participation in engineering geological, geotechnical, rock engineering and other relevant company training

* Mentoring junior staff in the engineering geology team

Furthermore, you'll:

* Have a bachelor's degree in geology (or similar geoscience) and a master's in engineering geology or equivalent

* Have achieved Chartered Geologist (CGeol) with the Geological Society, or equivalent such as CEng

* Have a sound understanding of various ground engineering systems, with a preference for tunnels, rock engineering, earthworks, deep excavations, groundwater control, slope stabilisation, grouting and ground treatment

* Have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team

* Be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

* Have familiarity with Eurocodes and a sound understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically the designers' requirements and the risk assessment process

* Have knowledge of methods such as AGS data, Holebase, Groundhog, Leapfrog and rock engineering software

* Holding a full UK driving licence is beneficial
