CRE Construction - London – CP6

Murphy group are keen to hear from confident CRE candidates regarding opportunities on the CP6 Anglia framework. As a CRE Construction you will play a pivotal role in the successful development and implementation of rail projects, specifically enhancements and stations. During the development stage your focus will be on advising design organisations to ensure they develop designs that can be built efficiently and safely. Thereafter in the implementation phases you will oversee the engineering and construction teams, ensuring the works are built right first time.

The Project

Murphy has been awarded one of three multi-billion-pound contracts by Network Rail for the South of England, worth up to £7bn for Control Period--******). The multi-discipline framework will deliver projects of varying value, including stations, buildings and civils, electrifications, power, signalling, telecommunications and track. This is initially in place for a five-year period but has the option of three one-year extensions if required.

The Role

* Regular liaison with designer’s to ensure design are efficient and safe to build

* Input into the ‘development plan’ to document the planned construction methodologies

* Approval of detailed construction methodologies produced by the project teams e.g. WPP / TBS / RA’s

* Approval of inspection and test plans produced by the project teams

* Review submissions for quality and sufficiency

* Assist team members CEM / QS / PM as required with engineering input

* Attend site as required to liaise with Site Managers and Engineers

* Excellent interpersonal skills and assertive when required to ensure timeous delivery

* Detailed knowledge of BS5975:2019 code of practice for temporary works

* Produce design briefs for temporary works

* Carry out temporary works audits across the project

* Review and appoint Temporary Works Supervisors

* Maintain the temporary works registers

* Provide & maintain CRT management across the various operational site

Your Profile

* Previous CRE Construction approved

* Experience managing design development

* Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other design based software such as AutoCad

* Membership of professional institute
