AECOM is a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be based in Manchester. You will responsible for calculations, designs, technical reports, line management and business development for our UK&I wide projects.

Job Responsibilities
*
Produce detailed design information including calculations, drawings, technical reports and technical specifications
*
Provide Support to Electrical discipline lead
*
Attend design team and client meetings
*
Review the work of Engineers and Graduates and provide support and guidance.
*
Act as a mentor to junior staff and promote CPD activities
*
Consider financial implications in producing design options
*
Carry out risk assessments and value engineering
*
Contribute and provide information for fee proposals
Minimum Requirements
*
Relevant Degree or professional qualification, ideally related to electrical engineering
*
Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
*
Extensive experience in electrical building services design within an engineering consultancy
*
Security Clearance to level SC will be required
*
Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients
*
Excellent technical understanding of electrical building services for the different sectors along with a good overview of the other disciplines in building services
*
Relevant experience in Electrical Engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles including electrical system distribution, control systems, BS9999 Life Safety systems, energy calculations and be conversant with codes and practices
Preferred Qualifications
*
A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning
*
Ideally you will live locally to the office or be willing to relocate
*
Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership
*
Experience in Nuclear and/or industrial sectors would be an advantage
