About Our Team:

Our Commercial Management team in Newcastle are part of the wider National Infrastructure team delivering all aspects of cost and commercial management services, covering the whole project lifecycle from business case through to completion / commissioning. We have secured places on a number local and national frameworks and are looking to expand our team to deliver an exciting mix of projects across a range of sectors and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

As an Associate Commercial Manager, you will lead and deliver all aspects of commercial management from project inception to completion. You will work with Directors to successfully manage and deliver a number of projects, varying in complexity and value. You will drive performance standards through expert communication and effective use of the performance management process. Maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry. You will also be responsible for managing and mentoring junior staff to deliver our services efficiently and effectively.

Minimum Requirements

*

Understanding of a variety of project types/sizes/sectors.

*

Good working knowledge of NEC suite of contracts.

*

Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation.

*

Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.

*

Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams

*

Experience of working within a client organization, either directly or through a co-location/secondment arrangement would be of benefit

*

A clear work history and proof of professional development and learning

*

Ideally you will live locally to the office or be willing to relocate

*

Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.

*

Prior line-management experience

Preferred Qualifications

*

Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management

*

Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Quantity Surveying Status with the RICS, CIOB or other equivalent institution.
