With us you will:
As Senior Big Data Architect, you will help develop the requirements, architecture and governance for Vodafone’s data mediation platforms as we continuously improve them.
You will help drive and support the adoption of data models from the ‘Common Information Model’ (CIM), stewarded by group, in local markets; your primary responsibility will be to create, own and enforce the governance procedures required to do this.
You will help build common consensus on the architecture within each of the numerous local markets and subsequently enable the local markets implementation of it.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting an end to end Data Sourcing Strategy,
Providing design oversight of solutions created in local markets.
Creating governance frameworks and ensuring local markets follow the standards established by group in their designs.
Provide tool recommendations and evaluations.
Create and manage proof of concept projects that support efficiency and innovation within Vodafone.
Own and document the standards and best practices for Group lead data guidelines.
Apply if you have:
* Your ability to communicate both written and verbally is excellent.
You can critically and constructively evaluate tools, standards and procedures.
You are a “doer” with hands on experience in event-based architectures and technologies like Nifi, Kafka, pub/sub, schema registry and API’s.
* You have experience in managing complex data models.
You understand the importance and value of good data governance (perhaps in the context of financial services) and have experience with data catalogue solutions, such as Collibra.
You have experience juggling various stakeholder demands and can proactively manage and prioritise time and resources across multiple projects.
You hold appropriate technology qualifications and possess demonstrable experience in Data Engineering and Big Data and BI tools.
You’ll be expertly familiar with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, and their impact on our processes, procedures and tooling. You will have run or participated in projects meant to align company technology with GDPR requirements.
You will have an understanding of Big Data and BI workflows and can provide examples of how you supported the generation of customer or business insight.
