Overview

We’re looking for someone with solid Salesforce development experience and an analytical mindset to design customer management solutions for the next generation of British Gas products, and work with the development teams to get them delivered. This role will work in the 'British Gas Technology' business unit and cover Salesforce development primarily for the 'Hive' brand, but may extend into other brands in the British Gas and Centrica portfolio.

Package: c.£55k base salary plus annual bonus, 25 days holiday, pension and private healthcare to all employees

Location: London with flexible working options (we are currently working from home)

What will you be doing?

* You will be responsible for solution architecture Salesforce.com across Sales, Service and Marketing domains.
* Create and document end to end solutions to ensure clear ‘big picture’ representation of technology solutions, and work with Product Owners to break down into a constant flow of user stories into relevant backlogs
* Work with an internal Salesforce development capability to deliver solutions
* Ensure the Customer Platform portfolio across Sales, Service and Marketing is delivered in line with stakeholder expectations via best-in-class technical solutions
* Set expectations effectively so business and technology stakeholders are on the same page
* Provide strong presence in preparing for sprints and sprint planning across the relevant Multi-Disciplinary Teams
* Ensure strong interaction and liaison between colleagues in pursuit of efficient and effective delivery and a great customer experience.

To be great in this role, you will need:

* An appreciation of the differences, strengths and weaknesses of internal platforms such as Salesforce.com, AWS and customer-facing platforms such as external Web and App platforms -"right tool for the right job".
* The ability to interact comfortably with business stakeholders and clearly articulate solution options

Work Experience

* Good knowledge of the core Salesforce platform (config/customisation options) and ideally some of the following: Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Zuora
* Knowledge of integration patterns and technologies.
* Knowledge of AWS serverless technology and API design/best-practice is an advantage
* Good understanding and experience working with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies
* Experience as a Technical BA in an Agile development environment
* Hands-on experience and good knowledge of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence, or similar agile workflow management tools

Certifications

Any technical or domain related certificates are a plus.
