Mid-Market organisations need applications to improve the way they run their business. Increasing their top line, by acquiring new customers and improving their retention rate is a priority for most companies that play in very competitive markets.

The successful candidate will lead an efficient and skilled organisation, driving customer success, efficient go-to-market strategies and effective deployment of a wide pool of resources. You will have proven experience of leading sales organizations, understand sales cycles and know how to optimize investment to achieve maximum potential.

The primary job duty is to lead a CX Cloud solutions sales team to engage with prospective and existing Oracle customers, driving increased revenues of our Cloud SaaS Applications across different accounts within your territory

Specific Responsibilities

1. Thought Leadership - provide insight into the local Applications market, map our offerings to local market needs and leverage the power of Social Media

2. Business Plan - develop and execute our plan to dominate the Western Europe market in Applications in collaboration with the broader Oracle business

3. Territory Management - identify the market, target organisations, and segment according to your chosen go to market model

4. Talent Development - target, recruit and develop a world class sales function

5. Sales Incentive Planning - manage the team through to quota achievement

6. C-Level Ownership - develop and maintain senior executive relationships within target

7. Campaign Development & Execution – work with and direct the various teams within Oracle to maxmise campaigns with impact marketing and PR campaigns in the local market

8. Strategic Sales - personally engage in the most strategic sales engagements, ensuring maximum sales conversion

9. Pipeline & Forecast Management - accurately manage sales reporting on opportunity qualification and sales forecasting and drive quarterly sales participation

10. Customer Advocacy - ensure maximum customer advocacy from sales through quality of delivery and relationship management

11. Stakeholder Management – build and manage stakeholder relationships internally, both with the regional sales organisations and all of the supporting functions. This role will represent Oracle Applications across Western Europe to customers, system integration partners, prospects, internal stakeholders, industry associations, and all forms of media

12. Business Practice Management - ensure the sales team adhere to company policy on pricing, approvals, and contracting.

Relevant Experience and Training

1. Able to inspire and lead a sales team – with demonstrable sales management experience, in a complex solution environment, ideally with Cloud solutions

2. Experience of working with a matrix structure with hard and dotted reporting lines would be advantageous but not essential

3. Financial management capability – Demonstrated ability to manage sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasts and drive change in the sales function

4. Sales experience – Proven track record of delivering sales success personally and from a team, demonstrable experience in winning new business

5. Major account relationship experience – Provide 1-2 major accounts as references on ability to successfully create relationships in large organizations.

6. Industry experience – sufficient experience, must have a minimum 5 years in either consulting services or IT sales. Proven network of strategic business and IT relationships in the Applications market place

7. CX sector knowledge – ideally a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the cloud Applications Sales industry.

8. Business planning capability – Demonstrated ability to articulate a strategy and plan to build a sales business based on financial objectives, territory planning, marketing plans, etc.

9. Networking – able to build teams internally and externally, be visible and accountable and able to maintain a high level of working in an organisation that is constantly evolving.Detailed Description and Job Requirements

The primary focus is to plan, manage and develop a team of OD Prime Sales Representatives. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle's opportunities across a subset of products, product lines or services directly or via partners to small-and medium sized accounts.

Manages a team of OD Prime Sales Representatives/Managers for a territory/region. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Develops working relationships with license, consulting, education, and/or support field managers to develop joint account plans. Develops and executes strategic plans utilizing resources from various marketing and sales functions to maximize revenue with frequent guidance from the area manager or director. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Handles escalations and participates directly in complex sales situations to negotiate and/or resolve disputes and ensure customer satisfaction. Conducts sales forecasts, territory planning, demand generation, deal strategy development and trend analysis.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs. Thorough understanding of Oracle's products and services. Ability to lead sales team in all areas of the sales cycle. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions. Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability. Degree in Business or Computer Science preferred with 5 - 7 years sales or sales management experience.
