What is the purpose of the role?
To liaise with all North London Highway Agencies, including TFL, on their road resurfacing programmes. This is in order to identify the availability of Thames Water assets before, during and after all resurfacing works and collaborative closures. To ensure all assets are correctly working and fit for purpose. To actively manage all missing or buried assets and third party recovery of network maintenance.
What makes this role unique?
This is a vital role covering the whole Thames Water North London region which involves the proactive engagement with external agencies in assisting with important road resurfacing as well as ensuring Thames Water assets are fully operational after works are completed.
What will this role involve?
Receive reports from the Highways Agency and use the information received to assess and plan the management of our asset maintenance.
Attend meetings to ensure planning is in place and liaise with relevant stakeholders to drive performance improvements, as well as attending and coordinating site visits with customers and external stakeholders when required.
Coordinate all field services and leak detection activities.
Be responsible for North London performance reporting of assets availability and planning to drive continuous improvement.
Drive a zero-compromise approach to health, safety, and wellbeing and water quality.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the Thames Water network or maybe another water network, preferably with a relevant technical background working with clean and waste water. We are looking for someone with a relevant health and safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH) , and who is also proficient in all Microsoft packages, SAP and CRM. They must have a strong, proven track record of team leadership and performance management, as well as having a proactive approach by taking action and anticipating outcomes. They must be able to influence and persuade others to take a specific course of action when there is no direct line of command or control. Be a highly effective communicator to all levels within an organisation with the ability to tailor the approach to audience requirements.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is potentially based at Thames Water Deephams sewage treatment work, but this may be flexible. But it does involve travel across the whole Thames Water North London region. We are offering a salary from £32,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Due to the nature of the role, a company car or car allowance will also be provided.
