We are looking for a Revit Technician to join our building services design team based in Glasgow.

As the newest office within the firm, our Glasgow office represents our desire to forge even stronger relationships with our clients, by providing a local presence for our Scotland-based projects.

At Hoare Lea we are at the forefront of Digital Engineering, each of our offices have BIM champions. In this role you will grow and develop to become the BIM champion for the Glasgow office. In this role you would work with the wider Digital Engineering team on future projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be working closely with our Engineers in the Glasgow office and potentially other offices to deliver 3D models & 2D engineering drawings produced using Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD. You will be working as part of the Revit/CAD team based in Glasgow on projects from scheme design stage through to tender. The work will be varied and you may be working on one project or many depending on current pressures & timescales.

- Support the delivery of projects within a multi-disciplined team with a tight deadline.

- Promote and assist teams in adopting best practice on each project.

- Seek to improve established protocols to ensure we are always progressing.

- Seek to keep up to date with advances in the industry.

- Upload drawings to a Common Data Environment where the entire design team can access them.

- Enable Engineers to deliver multi discipline projects using the latest technology

- Understand and reinforce quality assurance processes to ensure that all client deliverables are fully compliant with standards.

- Setup and maintain projects to ensure the engineers are always working with the latest information

What We Are Looking For


With a working understanding of Revit software and a basic understanding of the building services industry, you will be self-motivated, eager to learn and will be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach.

- Understanding of the practical application of 3D modelling.

- Comfortable managing and prioritising the workload given to you to ensure deadlines are met.

- You will have excellent communication skills and comfortable communicating with people at all levels to enable you to build good working relationships.

- Be able to move swiftly from one project to another.
