Quantity Surveyor – London/Hemel Hempstead

Murphy are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join the specialist electrical services commercial team in London. NEC and JCT contract experience are essential. You will be working in a team of 3 Quantity Surveyors reporting to a Senior QS. Working on civils projects across all sectors for Murphy.

THE PROJECT

We provide full electrical contracting services across our five sectors of Transportation; Power; Water; Natural Resources; and Construction & Property.

Our approach to design puts an early focus on

pre-fabrication and off-site manufacturing, which allows us to maximise benefits over traditional installation methods. We operate as ‘One Murphy’, self-delivering our projects alongside other specialist businesses.

YOUR PROFILE

* Degree qualification

* CSCS (White / Gold Card)

* Registered with RICS / ICES and working towards chartership

* Full driving licence

* Commercially astute.

* Excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (JCT) and Standard Methods of Measurement.

* Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)

* Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade others.

* Experience within a construction/engineering/similar and commercial background.
