This is an excellent opportunity to work as the Senior Quality Manager across a portfolio of projects. You will lead the delivery of Quality Assurance acting as a subject matter expert and be responsible for the line management and development of a small team.
The successful candidate will be expected to have experience of Quality Management, ideally within the nuclear sector, working collaboratively with a broad cross section of customers, suppliers, leaders and managers up to senior/executive level and possess a good knowledge of the national and international standards for quality and business management systems.
Ideally candidates will be qualified to ONC/HNC in a relevant subject and/or a suitable vocational qualification (HND or equivalent) or have practical experience in a quality-related role as well as demonstrable experience leading and managing teams.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role, work in designated areas and be able to travel between AWE Sites, within the UK and overseas where appropriate.
AWE plays a crucial role in the defence of the United Kingdom, by providing and maintaining the warheads for the country’s nuclear deterrent.
