We are seeking a Quality Engineer, based in East London, to ensure testing systems and procedures meet technical standards, and to create Quality and Health & Safety file documentation.

Our QA Engineers are responsible for identifying technical issues and getting to the root of the problem too. They also proactively recommend solutions that’ll improve product durability and overall performance.

Your mission

Your key activities will include:

* Accountable for the quality arrangement and documentation of every activity, precise knowledge of all aspects of engineering construction relating to M&E, Civil, Architectural, and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary processes.
* Responsible for QA/QC documents of the complete project.
* Develop and determine all standards to perform inspection and tests on all procedures and oversee all testing methods.
* Perform Surveillances to review the quality of materials when delivered or produced on site (Construction) at the site and ensure compliance.
* Supervise the effective implementation of all test and inspection schedules and ensure adherence to all procedures.
* Assist with employees to ensure knowledge of all quality standards and ensure compliance to all quality manuals and procedures.
* Support quality audits as per the required schedule as auditees, or part of the Audit team.
* Analyse all products and non-conformance processes and evaluate all documents to ensure the maintenance of optimal quality and prepare monthly reports to evaluate performance.
* Support project digitalisation processes and innovations.
* Ensure compliance of HSQE processes on the project for a right first-time delivery with zero incidents.
* Perform surveillance visit of all work methods and maintain knowledge on all quality assurance standards.
* Coordination between Quality, Design and Construction department.
* Support the handover processes and monitor the project findings.
* Engage with supply chain and project team for a correct deployment of Quality processes.
* Liaise with the Construction and Design Department for the submission of Quality information to Client, Independent Certifier or other Stakeholders.
* Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and Site In-charge for inspection.
* Report to the Senior Quality Advisor and QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

* Experience supporting the planning, implementing, monitoring and improvement of quality management systems in relation to site activities.
* Membership of, or working towards, a related professional body at 'affiliate / associate' level, or equivalent.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Proficient in the application and use of information technology.
* Awareness of digital construction applications, platforms and practices.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent technical qualification.
* Experience of working in construction project delivery.
* Basic knowledge of Lean construction practices and techniques.
