Job Description

We require a Quality Control Technician to perform sampling, field testing and specimen preparation tasks for Concrete, Asphalt and Quarry products in accordance with relevant British standards and company procedures.

Hanson technical UK is committed to maintaining an industry leading level of customer satisfaction through continuous assurance and improvement of its product portfolio and technical services by developing, documenting and maintaining a comprehensive quality management program.

You will be working as part of the Technical team with remote supervision in an efficient manner, whilst maintaining excellent standards and attention to detail.

Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role

* Carry out sampling, field testing and specimen preparation of Concrete, Asphalt and Quarry products in accordance with relevant British / European standards and
company procedures.
* Investigate and feed back to the technical and operations teams on quality issues at relevant sites and depots under their control
* Raise NCRs and Near Hits as appropriate.
* Challenge behaviours which demonstrate a negative attitude towards safety and/or quality.
* Assist with transportation of test specimens.

Skills / Experience

5 GCSE's at Grade 4-9 to include Maths and English, or equivalent competence

Driving Licence (manual)

Flexible and committed approach and the ability to work outside normal hours

Computer literate

Organised, ability to prioritize and make decisions

Good communicator and team player at all levels
