Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is looking for a QC Inspector to join its Aberdeen based team.

The key accountabilities will be:

* validate inspection requirements and carry out inspection activities at worksites, suppliers, and/or on receipt at warehouse as instructed by the project Quality team including internal releases
* Inspection of materials and review of material certification prior to delivery to fabricators/manufacturers;
* Selection of Weld Procedure specifications for client workscopes and submission for approval
* Monitoring production and carry out routine patrols of work areas including weekly quality audits
* Prepare daily NOT, Hydro and coatinq request
* Review of Weld Loqs, Welder Quals, NOE Quals
* Review of Fabrication, dimensional, NOE, Hydro-testing, load testing and painting activities/reports;
* Review and endorsement of product certification
* Report any inspection deficiencies and Supplier queries to project Quality team
* Maintain quarantine areas within warehouse for goods inwards receipt inspection;
* Review completed MRB in preparation for final release, issue Inspection release notes (Internal)
* Complete inspection visit reports and issue to project Quality team
* Update job progress of Quality requirements within AESSOP job management system

Skills / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

* CSwip Qualified
* Inspector Certification in relevant Discipline (e.g. Welding/electrical/ mechanical) from Recognised

Industry/national body

* Radiographic Interpretation certificate (for piping inspection only)
* Quality Auditor qualification by recognised industry body

Minimum Experience:

* 5 + years relevant experience (Preferably in the Oil/Gas /Petrochemical industry).

Job-Specific Skills:

* Good planning and organisational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
* Attention to Detail
