The Property Consultancy team fully embrace this philosophy by providing strategic advice and guiding our clients through the full spectrum of property consultancy in the following areas: professional consultancy advice, comprising portfolio and asset management, strategic and detailed planning, condition surveys, operational best practice, business improvement, departmental ‘health checks’, process and policy development.

As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, we now have an extremely exciting opportunity for a permanent Property Surveyor to join our significantly experienced and talented specialist stock condition survey team. The team undertakes around 40,000 surveys a year and provides clients with advice on property maintenance, asset management databases, work programming and business planning.

Based at our offices in Winchester with over 70 staff covering a wide range of disciplines in property and construction, you will be responsible for housing stock condition surveys for both the public and private sector markets.


•Monitoring/ project management of in-house surveyors and consultants

•Resolving any issues in delivering the stock condition surveys and associated surveys such as EPCs or FRAs

•Day to day inspections

•Tenant liaison and resolving any issues with tenants

•Quality control and health and safety on surveys

•Cleaning and validating survey data using Excel

•Survey locations can be UK wide eg Gateshead or Cornwall – so you should expect extensive travel and to stay away

Skills and Experience Required

•Good people and communication skills; able to work well with a wide range of people including face to face meetings with housing tenants

•Methodical, with a proven ability to work within set deadlines

•Experience of large scale property condition surveys, such as capturing stock condition and HHSRS surveys

•Experience using software for surveys

•Willing to learn and develop in the role; with a HNC or higher in building surveying or construction

•Computer literate - MS Word, Excel and Access
