Job information

Are you an experienced project manager in the water industry looking for your next challenge?

If so, you won't want to pass up this opportunity…

We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for.

As a Chartered Civil Engineer with experience in the Water Industry, you’ll bring the leadership and focus necessary for your projects to be delivered safely, on time and to budget.

Being a Project Manager with a minimum of 8 years’ experience means you’re capable of driving results in this senior position. Whether you’re exercising engineering judgement in difficult situations or taking action to mitigate project risks, you’ll have the persistence and ability to see the job through. What you enjoy most is the challenge and reward that come with delivering sizable, multi-disciplinary projects and leading the way to achieving the best outcomes.

South East Water’s Assets Management Plan period (AMP7) covering the period through to 2025 contains many interesting and challenging above and below ground schemes, including the construction of two large surface reservoirs, UV schemes, complex treatment processes, water quality schemes, reinforced concrete structures and strategic mains. Your depth of knowledge and expertise in the Water Industry will be highly valued.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of performance within your delivery portfolio and you’ll take a thorough, systematic and structured approach to monitoring and reporting the progress of your projects. You know being a Project Manager is as much about leading, directing and engaging your team to create a common goal as it is about creating plans and measuring success. So, you’ll be able to communicate confidently at all levels, from technical team members to contractors, through to external partners and senior stakeholders. What enables you to reach your goals is your collaborative approach, management skill and ability to work in a project team that integrates many disciplines.

You will experience our dedication to equal opportunities and fair treatment for all: through your recruitment, employment and career progression with South East Water.

COVID-19 Update

Your Health, Safety and Wellbeing matters. We’re currently assisting colleagues to keep them safe during COVID-19. In the majority of cases, this means working from home unless your role is within a field-based team or requires a fixed location (e.g. laboratory, grounds maintenance).

In this position:

* You’ll be provided with the equipment you need to work from home.

* Any work completed in outdoor spaces will be with the provision of appropriate PPE and social distancing only when deemed necessary.

What you can expect from Recruitment

* You will receive feedback on your application within 5 days of the role closing.

* You can expect first interviews to be held by Zoom
