About the role: Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure is currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team in London (Gresham Street). Our established team of Project Managers is working on a range of high profile projects including Buckingham Palace, Somerleyton Road, Amazon, major university refurbishments, commercial refurbishments in the City and housing regeneration schemes.

We are currently recruiting for an ambitious Project Manager with education and/or regeneration experience who will be expected to provide effective project delivery along with leadership to junior team members, ensuring a high level of technical, financial and commercial control. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join an exciting and dynamic office working across a broad range of sectors and disciplines with great potential for career development and focus on staff investment and regular social events.

What you will do:

* Work within financial systems and clear objectives to produce plans, schedules and track budgets, highlighting variances to manage and control project delivery targets
* Deliver/assist small to medium scale projects or programmes of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines
* Present any project risks or issues to senior managers to ensure the project is not adversely impacted, and ensure the delivery of projects to compliant standards
* Analyse and review a range of data to identify key themes and trends and use the outputs to produce recommendations that support project decision-making
* Use knowledge and experience to review project processes and policies, providing advice to support management in developing and improving processes and systems
* Interact effectively across the organisation, completing complex professional level tasks for others in order to ensure projects/programmes meet customer expectations
* Advise colleagues on issues relating to own projects, providing subject matter advice to support delivery
* Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party contractors, in order to ensure all parties are informed and aware of project progress and expectations

Your experience will include:

* BSc/MSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering/building/project management related subject
* Attainment of OR near attainment of relevant professional certification or chartered status
* Relevant experience including management of small projects up to £10m
* Experience in a Consultant PM environment
* 'Practioner’ level expertise in Project Management
* Knowledge of a range of construction contracts including NEC and JCT
* Good communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships
* A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects
