Project Manager - FTC
We currently have opportunities for experienced Project Managers to support our clients internal PM team. The ability to identify project requirements, develop a programme of delivery, control costs, manage project governance and work collaboratively with a team of people from across the business will be crucial for success. The roles can be based in either our London, Nottingham or Leeds offices.
From day one, you will be involved with delivering aspects of current projects which includes Regional Centre development projects, large office fit outs, and industrial sheds with potential for security requirements.
The projects are mainly CAT-A and in construction phase, with some CAT-B projects still in design phase. Each PM will manage a mix of project types and stages.
The role is to act as the client Project Manager, and be the interface between the client and the appointed consultant and contractor teams.
The PM will be responsible for monitoring the performance of the projects and contracts, and reporting into client systems. The PM will provide assurance on programme and costs, and manage the draw down of project funding. The PM will also manage the Authority Risks.
The form of contracts is JCT2016 on CAT B projects, and a bespoke ASL for CAT A projects, with some JCT Minor Works.
There will be travel to project locations which are UK wide, with office base flexible, but with Leeds, Nottingham or London preferred.
You will be an experienced Project Manager with experience of working in a client side role, who can integrate into a team environment.
You will have effective communication skills, a collaborative approach and an ability to deliver on your promises. In addition you should be able to/ideally have:
* Evidence of working collaboratively with clients and suppliers to deliver positive results
* Uphold professional and ethical behaviour in everything you do
* Engineering degree
* Project management and professional qualifications
* Chartered membership of a recognised professional institution
* Good practical application of Microsoft Project and all other MS software
* Driving licence
* Security clearance or suitability for security clearance
Experienced in successfully securing and delivering major projects from inception to completion, with the ability to produce commercial bids, write persuasive project proposals and perform effectively at the interview stage of a bid. You will have the ability to manage other professionals and assistants and to collaborate and influence other industry professionals and clients.
