The position requires a proactive customer driven approach, demonstrating full ownership and responsibility for implementing and completing BMS projects with the customer within education, health, industrial and commercial buildings segment. The role involves managing, engineering, planning and resourcing multiple projects within an end user projects team. The role requires close working with the Commercial Manager, tendering and commissioning teams, and brings the opportunity to assist the account and operations managers with additional sales proposals.
1). Operate and deliver multiple projects to our customers through Schneider Electric Quality Management System and Health and Safety Management System
2). Support, coach and mentor projects team through the successful delivery of projects
3). Ensure that defined project goals, objectives and performance measures are met or exceeded
4). Identify project issues and put proactive plans in place to resolve effectively and in a timely manner
5). Carry out engineering design of BMS and integrated projects, I/O schedules, description of operation, control panel design approval, plant schematics, H & S documentation, O & M documentation.
6). Procurement of equipment and subcontract installation/panels to meet the project programme
7). Financial control of the project including procurement, invoice approval, variation handling, final account agreement, monthly cost to complete reviews. Close liaison with the commercial team.
8). Attend site meetings with the customer, contractor, subcontractor, consultant as appropriate
9). Take a proactive approach to gaining all information required to progress our works.
The ideal candidate will be educated in an Engineering Discipline and have relevant Project Management experience within Buildings BMS sector. You will have the ability to develop procedures and processes and have good leadership skills including, employee mentoring and development and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility.
