As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, we now have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic and talented Project Management team.

Based at our office in Solihull, West Midlands, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing a variety of prestigious projects from start to finish, with a clear objective of implementing the clients’ project requirements.

We are not looking for experience in a specific sector or involvement with projects of a specific value. We are however looking for a confident communicator, who is adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of the business, including business development. We would also like to hear from candidates who are ambitious and are looking to grow their careers with the continuing growth and success of the Ridge business.

Main Duties

* Establish detailed Client's brief and responsibilities of consultants and specialists and maintain communication with the client and the design team
* Conduct feasibility studies, including coordinating site surveys, site investigation, site evaluation etc
* Co-ordinate and obtain planning consents and all necessary statutory approvals
* Manage finances from inception to completion, including cash flow forecasts, monitoring project expenditure, and recommendations of payments by client
* Interview and select contractors for tendering or negotiation, evaluate tenders received and appoint contractor
* Chair progress, co-ordination and project meetings throughout the contract period
* Prepare regular reports to clients on all aspects of the project including progress, programme, costs, risks and quality
* Provide single point of contact taking responsibility for all aspects of the project and liaise with the client

Skills Required

* Proficient in the use of MS Office and particularly MS Project is essential

To be a successful Project Manager at Ridge you will need to be an excellent communicator who can articulate complicated issues between our clients and our highly skilled project teams. You will also need to show ambition and a willingness to work flexibly, both in the office and on-site, whilst demonstrating commercial awareness and exhibiting the ability to lead teams.

Qualifications

* Ideally degree educated in a construction related degree or equivalent project management experience.
* You will ideally have one or a combination of the following qualifications (however we would be willing to accept applications from candidates who are considering working to towards them):
* MRICS
* MCIOB
* APMP
* PRINCE2
