Working Location: Darwen, Lancashire

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent salary and benefits package for an experienced and driven Project Engineer, who wishes to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering firm.

With a wide and varied customer base, and an ever expanding work load, WEC can offer the opportunity to work on some prestigious engineering projects for the right candidate.

Privately owned for over 40 years, and now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Project Engineer to join our busy and expanding team based in Darwen, Lancs.

Responsibilities

* Production, planning and management of stock

* Maintaining minimum stock levels

* Generating process manufacturing drawings

* Issuing drawings for customers approval

* Ordering materials via our internal purchasing department

* Preparing estimates and budgets

* Allocating work/projects to the shop floor

* Monitoring hours and material usage

* Studying customer order requirements against quotations

* Review completed jobs prior to invoicing and ensure allocations of stock and manpower are accurate

* Assist sales by driving through job priorities ensuring customer delivery dates are met

* Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

* Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD

* Proven engineering and fabrication knowledge/experience

* Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings

* Computer literate

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise closely with customers

* Ability to work under pressure, both on own initiative and as part of a busy team

* Ability to handle multiple varied projects from order through to completion

* Responsible, conscientious, punctual, highly organized, and self-motivated
