Project: Mace is to provide PMO services to a rail project in the northern region.
The role will be managing a controls team consisting of planning and controls officers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Establishing an information control and information flow system for the project. Coordinating its implementation and adherence during the project duration.
Establishing and agreeing with the client procedures for review, approval and transfer of design and engineering documentation among the project participants.
Developing and agreeing with the client on the preliminary project cash flow (finance schedule), cost control and reporting procedures.
Providing a monthly project report that shall include (a) executive summary - status’ about cost and budget, time schedule and works completed, done/open approvals, major next steps; (b) construction-assembly works, design and approval development, procurement issues, the status of payments and contractual issues, and other principal matters; (c) cost and budget - current status on expenses against agreed budget, cash flow, status change orders, deviations from budget and recommendation for adjustment, forecast 3 months ahead.
Establishing and agreeing with the client on the form and the procedure of cost estimation/calculation.
Establishing and agreeing with the client the form and the procedure of progress measurement and forecasting for all project contractors and overall project progress (in line with investment reporting principles of percent of completion, each milestone achievement and acceptance by the client will bear its weight in % related to monetary values). S-Curves for late/early/forecasted values
Verifying the works completed by package contractors and report against the approved project delivery program.
Tracking and controlling any changes in the delivery program including work scope/time and cost changes and advising the client by using decision proposal.
You have a schedule bias background. You have planning and scheduling best practice understanding and experience. You have experienced in EVM/performance measurement. You have experienced in detailed progress reporting systems. You have a proven ability to interface with client and supplier project controls teams.
You are a highly experienced P6 user and knowledge of Power BI. You have an understanding and experience in collaborative working with commercial teams. You have an understanding and experience implementing and managing project controls functions/principles in the construction industry within the rail sector and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
