Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Accountant to join its team in Aberdeen or the UAE on a fixed term basis.

Working within our EG Finance Team supporting two contracts with combined annual revenue of circa
$40m to ensure all accounting entries for these contracts are recorded in an accurate and timely manner in
line with group accounting policies. This involves the provision of timely reporting of financial data internally
to business stakeholders and externally to the client.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Ensure that all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in-line with corporate deadlines
• Ensure client invoices are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with the commercial terms
of the contract
• Ensure results are accurately reported and analysed
• Calculation of billing and cost rates, and analysis of margins to manage profitability
• Preparation of annual plan and quarterly reforecast in conjunction with Business Management and
Finance team
• Responsibility for compliance with Financial Management Framework within the individual’s sphere of
control
• Focus on cash collection, optimisation of DSO and minimisation of unbilled items
• Management and maintenance of relationships for Intercompany billing
• Execution of various ad hoc support to the EG team as and when required
• Liaising with external, internal and client auditors
• Linkage with project manager and commercial support regarding any contractual aspects

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:
Further education through College or University with a recognised accounting qualification
Preferably working towards CIMA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent

Knowledge, skills and experience:
Industry accounting experience
Proficient user of Excel
Good commercial knowledge
Good systems experience

Personal attributes:
Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships
Ability to communicate well both verbally and electronically
Strong ethical values and communicates with openness and honesty
