Job Summary
As an Associate you will be expected to work independently or with a Director to successfully structure, lead, manage and deliver capital investment and business transformation Programmes.
The role covers the whole of Programme lifecycle from initial inception, identification and definition; blueprint and business case development; Programme establishment and delivery; managing the tranches and benefits realisation; through to Programme closure.
In addition to core Programme Leadership, as an Associate within the Programme Management team, you will be expected to identify areas of specific interest and capability in the delivery of programme advisory services to clients.
Role Duties:
*
Support the Programme Management team in the delivery of its strategic goals in relation to capability, growth and commercial targets;
*
Lead and deliver large, complex Programme Management commissions involving multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups;
*
Ensure commissions are managed and delivered to the appropriate quality standards and commercial expectations;
*
Ensure a robust approach to risk identification, evaluation and mitigation is applied to all commissions;
*
Demonstrate leadership in the implementation of AECOM health, safety and environment requirements;
*
Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional teams to support successful Programme delivery;
*
Identify and act upon Business Development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities within and without the Programme Management team;
*
Lead and support the development of proposals throughout the entire bidding process;
*
Ensure all direct reports are engaged, developed and supported along their own career journeys; and
*
Identify opportunities to share knowledge and best practice and promote the Programme Management team both internally and externally with clients and relevant industry bodies.
Minimum Requirements
*
Extensive public and private sector infrastructure, urban regeneration, sustainability, commercial, residential, government, healthcare, education or science experience;
*
Complex, multi-disciplinary Programme experience essential;
*
Proven track record for delivery;
*
Demonstrable client engagement at senior levels;
*
Experienced in a client management role – able to manage the account in terms of ‘live’ Programmes while seeking new opportunities;
*
Line Management experience in a comparative consultancy business;
*
Highly motivated with excellent industry network;
*
Possess the ability to work across service lines (including a track record of cross-selling); and
*
Commercial experience is essential along with a proven track record of winning and retaining new clients.
*
Managing Successful Programmes accredited (or international equivalent) preferred.
*
Prince 2 or APM accreditation preferred
*
Experience using Business Information tools preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree level education, ideally Project or Programme Management/Construction/Engineering.
