The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen within our Customer Support business area, for a Product Support Manager to ensure delivery of in service support for the Sea Viper Weapon System to the Royal Navy. This opportunity will give you considerable scope to improve programme management skills, develop Customer facing skills and promote your profile internationally within MBDA.

* A broad based engineering background, preferably degree level qualified in a technical discipline, with substantial knowledge and experience of Complex Systems

* Strong understanding in the application of the UK MoD’s technical and logistics systems

* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders across the business

* Prioritisation and ability to deal with multiple issues on a regular basis

* Strategic planning of support work, ensuring equipment availability requirements are always met

* Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills

The Role

* Develop, implement and own the support activity for all Sea Viper System equipment, generating plans in conjunction with the end user and suppliers, consistent with satisfying the in-service needs as defined by MBDA’s customer.

* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure delivery of Customer Satisfaction.

* Ensure Resources, Skills, Data, Spares, Technical Instructions, Tools and Test equipment are maintained and available to meet the projected workload.

* Deliver programmatic, logistics, and technical aspects associated with Sea Viper in service support, to ensure they are progressed in a timely and controlled manner.

* Resolve any issue affecting Royal Navy’s ability to utilise the Sea Viper System equipment in an expeditious manner.

* Ensure the Support Strategy of the equipment is achievable and reflected in the long term plans for the system.
