Location: Flexible - London/Bristol

Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

We’re looking for an experienced product manager to join our Growth team in OVO Energy, Smart Home & Drive. Growth consists of four teams, rallied around accelerating growth opportunities across different lifecycle phases. The team as a whole covers acquisition, retention and activation (maximising CLV).

What will I be doing?

We’re looking for someone to focus primarily on retention initially with the flexibility to cover other Growth areas as the team evolves. You’ll have a team of engineers, design, research and analytics to support you in delivering results. You’ll also work with other parts of the business, like Kaluza, to ensure we create market leading products. This will be a highly collaborative role - both within the wider Growth team and across other Product teams, coaching others in understanding our approach to Growth.

There is a great deal of opportunity in this role and we’ll be looking for a product manager who can think creatively and is not limited by the status quo. We’re looking for a candidate who can challenge how things are done currently, pushing themselves and others to innovate to improve their approach to problems.

* Your focus will be on unlocking the potential in the retention flow - not only for energy tariffs, but other cross/ up sell opportunities as well.
* You will use data and customer-centric product techniques to identify and solve problems, simplifying complex customer experiences.
* Focus on how to get ideas off the ground quickly - identifying the thinnest slice possible to get meaningful customer data.
* Champion your product both in and outside your team - understand how it fits into the wider Product offering, how it will evolve, inspire your team to do more
* Work with others to set ambitious OKRs and take the responsibility to do what it takes to meet them, while knowing when to seek support.
* You will ensure that the solutions we’re building can translate to clear impact on business metrics.
* You will establish clear priorities and find ways of articulating them with your own team and the wider business
* Take an active role in our Product QBRs, sharing your successes and future plans with the leadership team and the wider OVO group.
* Get involved in our wider product community - using that as an opportunity to learn, get support from other like minded individuals and give back to the wider OVO team.

Is this the job for me?

* You have a deep understanding of agile methods, cross functional working and development at different stages of the product life cycle
* Experienced across web and app development
* You are an accomplished product manager with a history of commercial ownership
* You have a good understanding of approaches to maximising to conversion rate optimisation
* Experienced using optimisation tools, journey analysis tools etc.
* You are equally comfortable working with leaders and team members alike
* You are comfortable with the ambiguity that comes from working in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing market needs
* You have strong analytical skills, able to cut through opinions with data
* You are experienced in working in a matrixed organisation multiple stakeholders
* You are data driven in measuring the impact of what you build and have a track record of improving your customer’s experience.
* Experience in a Growth focused product roles and/ or of a highly regulated industry would be advantageous
