Role and Responsibilities

General description

Bixby is the next-generation virtual personal assistant. Bixby will provide a truly open platform that lets any developer extend Bixby's knowledge and capabilities.

As a product manager within Samsung’s Intelligence Services team, you will define and lead the development of the first series of conversational “apps” built on the Bixby platform, working closely with a talented team of engineers and business development managers. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about consumer-facing user experience and has a deep curiosity about emerging technology, human behavior, data, and design.

Skills and Qualifications

Requirements

Lead ideation and creation of user stories for multiple Bixby “apps.” You will be working across multiple industry domain areas simultaneously (e.g. local search, travel, dining, etc)
Involve engineers, designers and others to create a shared vision and clear goals for the product, including a well-defined product roadmap
Create and prioritize backlogs, working regularly with the team to refine and add detail where needed
Integrate insights from usability studies and other research to improve user experience and refine the product roadmap
Define metrics that will be used to inform product success and help drive user experience improvements.
Use tools ranging from MS Excel to SQL and data analytics products to draw insights from usage and inform product improvements
Work with business development and product management executives to better understand the changing market, help identify and engage with new partners
Create trusting relationships with at all levels within the company by promoting a culture of collaboration and open communication

Key Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related technical field
At least 5 years of experience working as a product manager or product designer
Proven record of shipping delightful products to consumers
Experience working closely with designers to define and improve user experiences
Hands on knowledge of Sketch or other design tools
Experience working with multiple agile/scrum teams simultaneously
Relies on data and research to inform product decisions. Not afraid to take chances.
Loves to get into the details and understand the technology you are working on at a deeper level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understands how to deliver a message at all levels of an organization
Strong leadership qualities and the ability to build strong relationships with engineers, designers and executives
Familiarity with bug tracking and reporting capabilities of systems like Jira, YouTrack, or similar
Prior experience working on products utilizing ASR, TTS, NLP, Machine Learning and related technologies is preferred
Some prior experience in engineering or programming capacity is a plus
Experience working with engineering teams in multiple time zones also a plus!

The role demands travelling to partners offices for regular meetings and progress updates.
