Product Assurance Engineer

MBDA Missile Systems - Deliver For A More Secure Tomorrow

We are looking for an engineer to handle 'in service product quality planning and non-conformance management. This role is an excellent opportunity to move into Quality and also further develop your career into a leadership role. We also welcome applications from less experienced engineers to develop within the role.

We see the key elements of the role as:

* Reviewing and maintaining contractual quality documentation including the Project Quality Plan and supporting the project team in developing any project specific processes
* Handling product non conformance i.e. facilitating implementation of project non-conformance process and supporting defect investigations.
* Providing non-conformance data analysis and summary reports into engineering/senior management and customer reviews;
* Ensuring the application of PPAP and APQP processes across the project;
* Identifying risks & critical issues with mitigation solutions for both in house and sub-contracted industrialisation activities to reduce risk and increase customer satisfaction;
* Supporting customer product acceptance including any facilitation of customer fault reports for the project.

What are we’re looking for?

* Practical knowledge of non-conformance management process and SAP business tool.
* Minimum HNC/HND level qualification with experience within Engineering or Quality Assurance and experience of quality management systems, techniques and processes
* Excellent communication & social skills – an ability to influence change.
* Experience of working within project environment and able to operate effectively as part of project team.
* Ability to identify risks and critical issues and drive forward suitable mitigation solutions with the aim of reducing rework and increasing Customer satisfaction.
