Principal / Senior Flood Risk Consultant
Due to the continued success in our discipline, we have an exciting opportunity for a flood risk professional in our Leeds office to lead the delivery of this service to both public and private sector clients in the North of England. The office undertakes a wide variety of major and challenging infrastructure projects for the private and public sector. We seek to provide integrated solutions, incorporating state of the art design. Whilst you will be expected to be a hands-on deliverer, we are also looking for a candidate possessing the experience and charisma to grow this service within WYG. This is an ideal opportunity to develop your career within a progressive and ambitious company.
We are seeking to strengthen our delivery capacity and require an applicant experienced in the design of infrastructure drainage projects (including SUDS) and in the use of Microdrainage, with the ability to undertake flood risk assessments. A working knowledge of river modelling techniques is required. You will be responsible for delivering specific project work, producing FRA reports, conducting site visits, liaising with the Environment Agency and other regulatory authorities, acting as a point of contact for the project/department and will be responsible for maintaining project records.
As you will be required to develop creative flood management solutions to support new development, in conjunction with our infrastructure teams, the ideal candidate will be a Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer with a proven track record in this field. However, we will consider applicants holding CWEM or, alternatively, offering equivalent experience.
We’re an international, award-winning, multidisciplinary consultancy, delivering creative solutions to some of the world’s most challenging projects. We’re confident in our abilities, authentic in the advice we give, imaginative in our thinking and resourceful in how we turn our ideas into reality. But most of all, we’re a people business. Our success is down to people like you.
Our engineering teams offer public and private clients around the world expertise through the full project life cycle, including design, procurement and management.
A rewarding future is yours at WYG. We’re committed to supporting your personal aspirations - and with clear career paths and a wide range of opportunities, your goals will always be within reach. Our blended learning experience will help you to develop all the skills and qualifications you need to succeed. Fantastic flexible benefits and personalised rewards make up an excellent package.
