Principal Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager - Wakefield

Central Alliance, a member of RSK Group Ltd, is an ever-expanding Ground Investigation contractor with a fleet of specialist drilling plant and equipment operating in numerous varying sectors including construction, defence, rail, utilities and transport.

We have a unique opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to take on challenging projects and greater responsibility.

Project Manager – Central Alliance

Responsibilities:

* Mentoring Junior /site-based Engineers with the logging of soil and rock in accordance with BS5930:2020

* Project Management of site investigation works, including costing, client liaison and procuring materials and sub-contractors, dealing with suppliers and preparation of health and safety documentation. additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business, without additional remuneration

* Factual report writing / compilation

* Training and mentoring of graduate and junior engineers

* Travel and attend internal and external meetings as required

* Adhere to working instructions as specified from internal and external clients

* Conduct internal paperwork as required

* Communicate with internal and external parties

* Conduct training as required

* In addition to your normal duties, you may occasionally be required to undertake additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business, without additional remuneration.

Qualifications/Experience:

* Experience of managing ground investigation contracts from start to finish

* Mentoring / Training of Soil and Rock Logging in accordance with BS5930:2020

* Experience in management of drillers, engineers, and client liaison

* H&S Compliance Experience

* The post holder will be expected to attend and pass internal and industry recognised external training courses. These may include but not be limited to, PTS, SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid etc
