About the role
As part of our growing team delivering a range of highway and transportation schemes for a variety of public sector clients, you’ll see projects through various stages of design. From feasibility to planning and construction, you’ll lead the delivery of technical outputs within project teams. You’ll be responsible for scheme investigation, site and structure inspections, data collection and analysis, works inspection and supervising. And, working closely with project managers, you’ll offer technical input to agree project briefs, proposals and deliverables.
As a Principal Engineer with experience in the Highways sector, you should:
* Be degree qualified in civil engineering or a related subject.
* Have Chartered or Incorporated membership of an appropriate professional engineering institution.
* Be experienced in the preparation of highway design for major and minor infrastructure projects, from conception through to construction.
* Have proven experience in the technical and commercial management of highway projects.
* Ideally, also have experience of managing a team of technicians and graduates.
