Position Title Principal Designer

Job Summary
The Peterborough office are looking for a Principal Designer.
The main responsibilities will be:
Managing the role of Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations
Providing Health & Safety consultancy services to clients
Preparation of fee proposals – attendance at Client presentations if required
Review and agreement of fee proposals prepared by other staff
Executing and completing projects
Providing point of contact for client(s)
Ensuring projects are technically correct
Minimum Requirements
Detailed knowledge of construction process from design through to completion
Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write accurate and engaging copy for a range of audiences
Willingness to learn, and capacity to accept change
Ability to carry a heavy workload and work under pressure
Ability to work flexibly, on own initiative and as part of a team
First class ability to prioritise and manage own workload due to high volumes of projects
Preferred Qualifications
NEBOSH Qualifications (General, Construction Certificate or Diploma)
Membership of The Association of Project Safety
Membership of a construction related professional body e.g. CIAT, RICS, RIBA, MCIOB and a CSCS Card are desirable but not essential
