Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting a Principal Town Planner, due to our continued success working on major development projects across the country. The Principal Town Planner will join our award winning planning and design team in London. Our team works throughout the UK with major land owners, house builders and developers, Government departments and agencies, local authorities, infrastructure providers, utility and energy companies. Our projects are often high profile and at the leading edge of professional practice.
You will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary technical teams, co-ordinating the submission of major planning applications for a variety of schemes, and advising on the promotion of strategic land. You will have the opportunity to win your own business and will play an important part in the growth of our team.
Skills / Qualifications
* You will be qualified to degree level in Town Planning and will be a full member of the RTPI.
* You will ideally have experience within a private consultancy environment within the UK
* You will be confident and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* You will have the ambition and ability to develop new client relationships and assist with the management of existing key clients.
