Job Summary

Our London Façade team is looking for a Senior Façade Access Engineer to work on a range of local and international projects. You will be experienced in the construction industry with a relevant degree (architecture, structural engineering, and civil engineering) and be familiar with façade engineering.

The successful Façade Access Engineer will be involved in a variety of duties and will include;


Key understanding of architectural drawings and produce maintenance access and cleaning solutions.


Understanding of prominent civil / architectural projects from conceptual stages through to construction.


A key aspect of understanding architectural drawings, up to date regulations and standards which applies to building services.


Apply any engineering software applications to produce solutions and options to the client.


Coordinate with the design team with the access and maintenance systems used or proposed.


Promote internal collaboration between the various offices.


Produce relevant project specific deliverables for formal submission to the client consisting of Concept Design, Schematic Design, Detail Design Reports and if applicable specifications.


Carry out factory inspections of Façade access sub-contractors, witness factory load testing and provide reports for formal submission to the client.


Carry out site inspections of the quality of the façade access systems during the construction stage and provide site inspection reports.


Be abreast with regulations, standards and code of practice of access and maintenance system.


Work within the façade team and coordinate any problem solving issues.


Develop a team.

Minimum Requirements


Proven experience working in engineering in the construction industry


Extensive familiarity with façade systems, façade design and fabrication/manufacture


Consulting and collaborative, client focused outlook and demeanour


Knowledge of relevant International standards and codes for façades and services


Excellent report writing skills


Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis Software

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor’s in relevant degree (Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering)
