Can you harness the power of data to create a compelling story? Can you turn data into future focussed insight? Do you want a role where you can continue to learn? Then don’t let this opportunity pass you by…

We want to be the water company people want to be supplied by and want to work for.

We know that as a Predictive Data Analyst you want your talents to be used to generate solutions that solve the biggest challenges we face. This is a new role within our existing business information systems team. So, you can expect to apply your passion for data, enthusiasm and creativity to shape your own successes and have broad impact on strategy.

Having detailed technical expertise in diagnostic and predictive analytics means you’ll be the source of specialist knowledge for others. As someone who follows developments to stay up to date with emerging predictive tools and techniques; in this role you’ll take full advantage of technology to leverage the full value of our data.

As a Predictive Analyst, you’ll have sound knowledge of Python to build and maintain ETL pipelines, data products and data APIs to shape new solutions for the data team and wider business. You’ll increase the accessibility of data by integrating complex, structured and unstructured datasets using ETL / ELT technologies. You’ll improve the manageability our data through master data management and data cataloguing. As part of this, you’ll create structure, documentation and process along the way to producing a high performing, highly usable data analytics environment.

Being able to manage ambiguity to solve complex problems and improve effectiveness is what you do best. You’ll match this with your ability to relate well with others and foster credibility to develop highly engaged analytics communities across South East Water. This will enable you to consider the impact of your work on future possibilities, so the data insights you unlock are utilised by strategic and operational decision-makers across our business.

We know the communities we serve are diverse. We recognise creativity comes from diversity not similarity. That’s why we are enthusiastic about creating inclusion across age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion and identity. You will experience our dedication to equal opportunities and fair treatment for all: through your recruitment, employment and career progression with South East Water.

COVID-19 Update

Your Health, Safety and Wellbeing matters. We’re currently assisting colleagues to keep them safe during COVID-19. In the majority of cases, this means working from home unless your role is within a field-based team or requires a fixed location (e.g. laboratory, grounds maintenance).

In this position:

We will provide you with the IT equipment and assistance so you can work from home safely and productively. You will need to have a suitable workspace and a stable broadband provision.

What to expect from your recruitment

* This role is due to close 12th April 2021

* You will receive feedback on your application within 5 days of the role closing.

* You can expect first interviews to be held by Zoom

* You may be asked to complete a short suite of psychometric assessments (you’ll receive feedback too).

* You will be asked to complete satisfactory DBS, identity and employment referencing checks as part of receiving your employment offer from South East Water.
