This is an exciting opportunity in Huddersfield for a Plant Product Engineer.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
Developing knowledge in Technical Documentation. Manage multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring the products are delivered on time with various teams across the globe and within budget.
Provide technical Engineering project support to Supply Chain for approval of new supplier of turbocharger components over the model range.
Determine and agree development test plans, write engineering test and approval work, interpreting results, documenting & arranging technical reviews to present / share validation results with relevant groups for approval.
Preparation of suitable external product validation presentations following completion of engineering validation & support customer communication.
Evaluate risks and authorise disposition of none conforming material to current Engineering specifications, developing test plans if required.
Product Failure Analysis: Investigate test and & possible field failures to determine root cause of failure and initiate a corrective action of current product.
Engineering support Manufacturing for Cost Reduction Activities, Quality Improvements and Process change approval.
Skills and Experience Required:
An understanding of quality tools and techniques
An appreciation of design packages, and ability to understand designs.
Design experience using a CAD package
Experience of working on Turbo Machinery would be advantageous
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
Ideally degree qualified (will consider HNC/ HND)
Up to 25% travel involved
Compensation and Benefits
Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
