Your constant challenge, working as part of our diverse and multi-skilled Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, will be to ensure our iconic brands continue to captivate the world tomorrow.
Construction Facilities, a key department within Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME), is responsible for the development of new project proposals, design concepts, and programmes for our production facilities. The team deliver construction, engineering, and project management services, providing world-class facilities across our construction and technology functions.
As a Plant Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a team of project managers and engineers within AME to support and develop business cases for the proposal for new build and alterations to our manufacturing facilities.
You’ll be delivering projects in line with the agreed business plan and stakeholder requirements, and will be responsible for developing project scope of works and technical requirements. You’ll develop delivery strategies and execution plans for construction and engineering projects and deliver on these projects. As a Key Interface with stakeholders, you’ll plan handover and training in the use and operation of manufacturing facilities.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll need to have substantial experience of working on construction projects and have safety qualifications such as CSCS card or Safety Management training. You’ll have a technical knowledge of at least one discipline - Civils, Mechanical or Electrical and an appreciation and understanding of the others. Project Management would also be advantageous, along with the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
Able to meet deadlines, you’ve got a strong record of proactive and technical delivery of construction and engineering projects. To enable you to manage multiple stakeholders, you’ll be a dynamic and driven personality with a people-person approach including strong leadership qualities, ability to communicate with the team members and build a rapport and a willingness to listen.Along with a willingness to listen, encourage, develop your team’s professional career and maintain high levels of team ethics and have a hands-on approach to team tasks.
