We have three 12 Month Placement positions within Global Planning and Logistics:

Transportation - 2 positions (Rugby)

Trade Compliance - 1 position (Daventry)

These opportunities are open to students who are eligible to complete a placement year as part of their degree.Successful candidates will work as part of the Global Planning and Logistics team, examples of the placement responsibilities are outlined below:

Transportation

*

Development of Supply Chain Analytics to make operational performance and trends visible

*

Lead and participate in Six Sigma and Supply Chain Improvement projects e.g. rationalisation of International Supply Chains, Creation of carbon measurement and offsetting tools and processes

*

Involvement and support in all Major Cross Business Unit projects

*

Ensuring data integrity of all analytics and reports

*

Development of reporting capabilities for supply chain KPIs

*

Analysis and interpretation of KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans

*

The use of existing business systems to provide analytics and reporting that are capable and repeatable

*

Financial reporting and tracking of spend and project savings

*

Development of supply chain models for scenario analysis

*

Design and implementation of reporting suites that will be presented across the EMEA region

*

Measurement of carrier performance through the use of KPIs and assessment scorecards

*

Design, Creation and Maintenance of Supply Chain Tools to be used by the team and internal customers

Trade Compliance

*

Financial reporting and tracking of spend and project savings

*

Managing, improving and maintaining duty management systems

*

Working with Customs brokers and suppliers to ensure smooth flow of goods

*

Involvement and support in all Major Cross Business Unit projects

*

Ensuring data integrity of all analytics and reports

*

Development of reporting capabilities for supply chain KPIs

*

Analysis and interpretation of KPIs to identify areas for improvement and action plans

Qualifications

*

Working towards a degree in Business/Statistics related area

*

Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint (Access and Visio beneficial)

*

Previous experience in a supply chain role would be beneficial but is not required

*

Ability to understand data, solve problems and think innovatively

*

Works well as part of a team

*

Ability to manage workload effectively
