The successful candidate will work within the Customer Solutions Organisation (CSO) based with the Daventry Technical Centre.
The role provides technical support to the Cummins distribution channel throughout Europe. CSO provide technical direction in the following areas:
Provide technical direction for hard to diagnose performance problems
Investigate emerging product issues and complete problem definition work
Investigate and report on major product failures
Support training activities including making training and delivering training material
Maintain and develop department data logging equipment
Develop temporary solutions to extend customer up time
We are looking for someone with an interest in engines and preferably having some practical experience of working with engines or in the automotive field. Studying for an engineering degree in any of the following subjects:
Desirable - Second Language preferably from the European area.
During the placement a mentor will be provided and the role will require working closely with other engineers. Engine appreciation training and product familiarisation training will be provided. Access and training in the use of industry standard tools for analysing data and material will also be given.
