The candidate will support the development of a Prototype Power Electronics Drive for Synchronous Reluctance Electrical Machines.
Review Power Electronics Drives Topologies and Control Strategies for electrical machines
Support with the development of a test software for prototype power electronics
Support with programming and validating test software with electrical machines
Electrical/Electronics engineering degree is essential
Experience in embedded controls for Power Electronics is desirable
Knowledge and strong experience in developing test software for control of power electronics circuits using embedded microcontrollers and CPLDs (Complex Programmable Logic Devices). Experience in programming c programming is desirable
Hardware experience in using micro controllers and CPLDs.
Modelling and simulation capabilities.
Software design and testing capabilities.
Software/Hardware Tools which will be used/required in the role:
1.Programming languages for Embedded Controls of Power Electronics.
MATLAB/SIMULINK for optimization and system level simulations.
Knowledge of PCB Design tools would be an advantage.
Positive attitude and strong drive towards new technologies.
Open-minded and no risk adverse personality.
