Oracle Cloud – Oracle Database Administrator

Help build the next generation cloud! Become part of the early stage engineering and experience rapid growth in your career!

We are building a team of Oracle Database Administration and Engineers in Dublin for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure service and we would love to learn more about your background.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) combines the elasticity and utility of public cloud with the granular control, security, and predictability of on-premises infrastructure to deliver high-performance, high availability and cost-effective infrastructure services.

The Oracle Database team supports all OCI software engineering teams. Every new OCI service and every new OCI region increases the number of databases we’re responsible for. These scaling challenges demand both deep Oracle Database Administration skills and aggressive leveraging of Oracle technologies and engineering. As a member of this team, database availability, performance and customer satisfaction will be your top objectives.

A Database Administrator/Engineer will spend a significant amount of their time doing operational and reactive work related to the maintenance of our production databases. When not working on operational issues, the Database Administrator/Engineer is working on engineering tasks such as automation, self-healing monitors and other efforts to improve operational excellence and database stability. The ideal Database Administration/Engineering candidate has a deep understanding of Oracle Database technologies as well as experience with scripting and automation

If you’re a self-motivated database administrator with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems for highly available services at massive scale, then THIS is the right place for you!

Our team in the UK will be an extension of a well-established team in Seattle & Dublin and together both teams will operate a follow-the-sun support model.
