We have a Centre of Excellence and Innovation in Witney for the development and manufacture of test strips and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. We have an exciting opportunity to head up our Operations Planning team, responsible for the direction and leadership of our Manufacturing Planning, Materials Planning, Customs Compliance, and Warehousing teams. You will drive ownership and accountability in your team who deliver the production planning and scheduling of all manufacturing within the Witney facility (on market and new product introduction), including plans for all site raw material requirements, and managing the receipt, storage and issuing of materials to manufacturing and all other site groups.
Your focus will be on supporting the ongoing development of both process and people, managing strategic relationships internally and externally, setting vision, strategy and clear direction for the function, and use best in industry knowledge and experience to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement.
To be successful, you will need to be degree qualified, and bring a breadth of experience in planning and supply chain processes, with wider experience of manufacturing or engineering management beneficial but not essential. Equally key to your technical experience is your leadership exposure. You will be a natural people leader, with proven experience in 2nd line management (including strategy translation, resource planning, financials etc). Reflecting our culture of identifying and harnessing talent you will bring proven experience of developing, mentoring and coaching your team to support employee growth and career development. You will also need to demonstrate a track record of accomplishing your objectives, working proactively, and managing your own time effectively. Using data to drive decisions is key, as is the ability to translate this information to support wider understanding across the teams.
