Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as Operations Manager based in Stamford. This is a unique role with a unique business. The Load Bank business has two centers of excellence- Stamford, UK, and Cleveland, OH in the US. The Stamford location is searching for someone to lead the manufacturing group- and further integrate this Froment legacy facility into the Schneider world.

What are your key responsibilities in the role?

Enforce compliance with HSE and 5S rules throughout the sector, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses. As manager, this individual is the legal responsible in case of accident.

Analyze manufacturing data and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement; identify and utilize methods of making manufacturing process more efficient and effective (reducing waste, using lean).

Direct corrections (corrective action) of any manufacturing problems that may arise; work with Engineering Manager in development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions

Act as facilities manager.

Collaborate at the load / resource balance with the manufacturing manager

Achieve production schedules in accordance with the objectives of cost - quality – lead time

Manage ISO/BS, and other factory audits. Lead virtual witness tests requested by customers.

Animate at daily frequency the SIM loop 2 with appropriated indicators & action plan

Drive change in manufacturing programs according to customer priorities. Manage the SIOP Process by collaborating with Load Bank Sales group in Cleveland as well as Stamford.

Champion the training needs of teams and manage the versatility in accordance with the target defined

Engage and collaborate with plant leadership team to give feedback on investment proposals, transverse projects & action plan at the plant level

This role might be for you if?

Experience in managing production operations

Good communication skills

Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles

Excellent people management skills (appraisals, development of talent, performance management, developing engagement)

Understanding of safety management principles

Be good with Change Management

Ideally this person would be interested in a Plant Manager role as a next step
